Makeup Monday: Blogger Makeup Bag

I'm delighted to introduce Hayley, a.k.a. SuperSugarBubble, for March's Blogger Makeup Bag. I love watching Hayley's YouTube channel, particularly her creative tutorials which are easy to follow without being patronising. She's got great taste in products and with a husband who is based in the USA, I couldn't wait to peek inside her makeup bag and discover which are her can't-live-without items from both sides of The Pond. Over to Hayley...

I like to keep my makeup bag as simple as possible and that's why I try to use a lot of multi-purpose products such as the Stila Convertible Colour Lip and Cheek Cream in Petunia. It's the prettiest pink colour that I've come across so far and it looks equally as beautiful on the lips and cheeks. I chose to pop some of the product into this handy little sample pot as it makes it smaller and easier to carry around. Muji make great travelling pots and containers to store your makeup in if you're looking to downsize your travel makeup bag. Eye palettes seem to be the most useful component when it comes to my makeup. I normally just go for neutrals- that way, I can gradually build up the colours and create an easy smokey eye look if I want. I love my Covergirl Exact Eyelights eyeshadows which are designed to complement your eyes and make the colour "pop" as they say. I like to carry around any "touch up" products and my MAC Studio Fix Powder is perfect for when my foundation has slightly worn off and I need to add a little more coverage. It comes with a latex sponge which packs on the product quite densely but it works great under the eyes to cover any end of the day dark circles! It's also a great tip to keep hold of any skincare samples you have lying around- you may need them some day! I like to use mine either when travelling (on a plane) or I like to pop them in my makeup bag. I found these La Roche Posay Toleriane Eye Makeup Remover Capsules recently at Boots- they work really well on me as I'm a contact lens wearer and my eyes can get sensitive at times. I am so grateful for these at those times when my makeup is all over the place or I stay out a little too late! As for makeup brushes, my "hero" brush has to be the MAC 217. This brush seriously does it all. It would probably help if I could find mini versions of all my favourite brushes but for now, I'm going to stick with these...
