GIVEAWAY!

Apologies for my silence recently readers. As is no doubt the case for many of you at this time of year, I was hit by a nasty virus and have been unwell. I'm now completely recovered and to mark the fact that normal service will be resuming on Skin Deep, I thought I'd hold a small giveaway.

If you follow a lot of blogs or watch YouTube beauty channels, then you'll know that the 8 pan eyeshadow palettes by American drugstore brand, Wet 'n' Wild are hugely popular and with good reason. One of the most popular palettes is "Comfort Zone" which combines wearable neutrals with a couple of green colours as well as a shade (the Definer shade in the bottom right) which is known to be a close dupe of MAC's popular Club duo-chrome eyeshadow.

Sadly, this cult item is not available in the UK so when I visited the USA recently,  I picked up a palette for my personal collection as well as an extra for this giveaway!

One lucky reader will be able to win this Wet 'n' Wild Comfort Zone eyeshadow palette (I'm afraid that this giveaway is open to UK residents only as I wanted the winner to be someone that might not have access to this palette).

To be in with a chance of winning, simply leave a comment below telling me what your favourite eyeshadow is, whether it be a single colour or a palette, along with your email address (please ask your parents' permission if you are under 18).
For an additional entry, tweet @Skindeepblogger. Subscribers to my YouTube channel (click here to visit) will get an additional entry if you write a further comment below identifying yourself with your YouTube name.
In order to qualify for entry, you must be a follower of this blog.
The winner will be picked at random and announced on Tuesday 19th March 2013. Good luck!

  1. Great giveaway! I've been lusting after these palettes for ages now :-)

My favourite eyeshadow is probably Naked Lunch by MAC, it's just such an easy to wear shimmery neutral, and looks great on its own with a slick of black liner or paired up with other colours as the lightest in a smokey eye look.

My favourite eyeshadow of all time is has to be MUA's eyeshadow single in shade 22 - Pearl. I noticed you reviewed their eyeshadow trio before so you'll know that their shades can last all day if you need it to! But it didn't make my favourites down to staying power alone - I love the product because of it's versatility - and how I barely ever use it as an eyeshadow!

This shade is extremely light-reflecting and so works wonders as a subtle highlighter, but my favourite use for it is as a face-powder... I did indeed just say that. I've always dreamed of the perfect English Rose/slightly pink complexion, but with my mix of Asian/British blood I'm mostly warm toned. So I imitate those soft 'pink undertones' by sweeping this shadow over my entire face with a soft blush brush as a setting powder, after I've applied foundation and blusher. It works wonders and takes the oiliness I sometimes have on my face but DOESN'T make it look dry, because it's so brilliantly light-reflective it gives off a radiant, illuminating glow. The pink is so light that if done correctly, no-one will know you've swept shadow all over your face! And as I said if you're looking for a cheap highlighter alternative to apply on selective parts of the face, at £1 it's got to be worth a shot ;)

It might sound a silly idea, but it's one I'd recommend. ..x
