Speed Review: L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Masque

Regular readers will know that I love to indulge in a Sunday pamper session, during which I use a clarifying shampoo followed by a hair mask.

L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Masque review

I've recently been trialling L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Masque, which I picked up when it was on offer in Boots. The thickening claims appealed to me (as I'm constantly on the hunt for products to boost my fine hair), whilst the bright colours of the packaging captured my attention and meant that it stood out on the crowded shop shelf. That said, it doesn't look luxurious but the design is in keeping with the wallet friendly price tag.

In terms of functionality, it will come as no surprise that I'd have preferred the convenience of a tube instead of the large plastic tub, particularly as the mask has a relatively lightweight texture. The directions were clear and easy to follow and what's more, I appreciated that the mask gets to work in less than five minutes.

L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Masque

L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Masque has a lilac colour and a pleasant scent (although I couldn't detect this once I'd dried and styled my hair). The lightweight, gel cream texture was easy to work through my hair and rinsed out impressively easily too.

Following use, my fine hair was left with a thicker, more volumised appearance. It wasn't weighed down but instead, had a healthy bounce. Frizz & flyaway were noticeably smoothed and my hair looked shiny and felt soft. As such, I feel that L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Masque delivers on the claims.

The generously sized 300ml tub will last for a long time, meaning that at just £5.09 (at full price, although it's worth bearing in mind that L'Oreal is often on offer), it offers very good value for money. I'd highly recommend checking out L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Masque, especially if you have fine hair.
